Beyond Trauma Informed Yoga: Embodiment in Practice
Join Alison Scola for a free introductory workshop exploring why embodiment and somatic practices are essential components of trauma resolution.
In this experiential session, you'll explore:
• Why embodiment and somatic work are critical for trauma healing
• How and where "the body keeps the score" from a neurophysiological perspective
• The effects of trauma on the nervous system, body awareness, and movement patterns
• A guided somatic practice to support interoceptive awareness and neuromuscular regulation
• Practical tools for supporting healing through embodied awareness
This workshop is designed for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and helping professionals who are ready to deepen their understanding of trauma and further develop their skills as compassionate space holders and guides within the context of yoga and embodied healing.
Whether you're new to somatics or looking to expand your existing knowledge, this workshop offers a meaningful introduction to embodiment-based approaches for healing and transformation.
