Prana Pranayama Chakra & Vayu

Take an experiential deep dive into the energy body (pranamayakosha) through the lens of pranayama, chakras, vayus and mudras.
Explore through lecture, discussion, experiential exercises, and self-study a wide variety of techniques to enhance the flow of prana, expand breath capacity, increase energy and decrease stress.
This includes learning and practicing the classical forms of pranayama as well as techniques of pranavidya, while also learning to teach these to others.
Explore kumbhaka (breath retention), psychic pranayama, the effect of mudra (gestures) on the breath and ways to increase awareness in the prana vayus.
Learn adaptive techniques to meet the needs of the individual including how to down-regulate the nervous system to heal from stress and trauma.
This course is for both yoga teachers and interested students. All welcome.

About Peggy Profant, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500
Peggy is a teachers teacher and inspirational mentor to many yoga teachers world wide. As a yoga practitioner and teacher for over 25 years, Peggy has always been intrigued by interplay of subtle body, breath, and mental well-being through yoga. In her studies to become a yoga therapist, she focused on weaving these aspects into yoga asana practices to enhance the healing benefits of yoga for herself and her clients. Her therapeutic approach blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with scientific research to help clients become less obstructed by the disillusioned mind and more firmly anchored in their true, radiant self. It is her wish to empower her students to overcome obstacles to self-love and allow each person to joyfully offer their gifts back to humanity. Peggy founded and operated a premier yoga studio in Arcata, Om Shala Yoga, for 10 years, and co-founded World Family Yoga leading family retreats in Costa Rica. She has been leading workshops, retreats, and Yoga Teacher Training since 2005.
